Heal, Integrate, and Transform yourself within your own safe space
Psychotherapy
Discover the power of inner reflection and compassionate exploration of our multi-dimensional selves from the safety and comfort of your own home. Online psychotherapy can be just effective as in-person therapy depending on the person. In fact, we’ve found that some clients do even better when they are able to engage in the self-exploration process within their own personal space. Our online therapy offerings include individual, group and family therapy. We use a titrated trauma-informed virtual therapy model in which clients spend time both on and off screen throughout the session depending on the work being done and the clients need at certain moments to be in their feelings or in their breath without being seen.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one psychotherapy with Caroline will benefit individuals who desire mind-body-spirit integration. Caroline aids clients in finding the authentic self that lies beyond limiting beliefs, experiences & behaviors through the use of the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy. Also holistic integration is accomplished through a supportive combination of somatic (body-based) methods, psychodynamic relational psychotherapy, and other modern trauma-informed therapy modalities. The virtual platform allows for clients to sink into the therapeutic process within the comfort of their own homes, sometimes creating a deeper since of safety for self-exploration and healing.
Individual virtual therapy is best for clients 11 and older. We find that our younger keiki clients do better in person!
Family Therapy
“Online family therapy at Integrative Awakening involves focus on clear, compassionate conversation using tools such as nonviolent communication and ImagoTherapydialogue(www.imagorelationships.org).During family therapy, we unpack less than optimal, unconscious defense structures used by the family system. We explore how each family member may be supporting the disconnection within the family by unconsciously playing a certain role. We explore ways for each member to step out of their habituated role within the family so they can be fully seen, understood and valued as a unique individual. This process takes time and patience, but it is life-giving and transformative! The benefit of doing zoom family sessions is that family members in different locations can join in for session from the comfort of their own homes.
“Online therapy, supervision and coaching allows us to work with our clients throughout the world, many of whom end up coming to Hawaii to also do private retreats with us in order to complement virtual sessions with some in person time.”

A Message from Caroline about Licensure and Scope of Practice
I am a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Pennsylvania and Hawaii. When working with clients who reside in those states, our work may be referred to as psychotherapy or clinical social work, and is conducted within the scope of my professional licensure. You are welcome to submit your paid invoices from our office to your insurance company for out-of- network reimbursement. If you reside outside of Pennsylvania or Hawaii—whether elsewhere in the United States or internationally—our work together will be referred to as coaching, rather than psychotherapy or clinical social work. This is purely due to licensing regulations and does not reflect a change in the quality, depth, or focus of the work we do together. In coaching, we may explore many of the same areas—emotional wellness, behavioral patterns, relationships, personal growth, and life transitions—using the same training, experience, and care I bring to my clinical practice. However, because this work falls outside the scope of state licensure, it is not considered psychotherapy and does not carry the same legal or regulatory protections. This allows us the freedom to work together from anywhere in the world, while remaining transparent about the nature of our professional relationship. This does mean, however, you cannot submit invoices to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
