Conscious Uncoupling Sessions

This offering is for partners who have undergone at least three months of marital/couples counseling with Integrative Awakening staff or another clinician and are clear they would like to transition out of their current partnership to one another. These sessions help clients work in a calm, connected and heart centered way to take the next best steps for each person and any children involved, while still

Supporting each other to some extent in the process. These sessions help clients avoid long, lengthy and expensive divorces and the unnecessary added pain for children involved. The worst case scenario— a peaceful parting. The best case scenario—couples work to become collaborative friends, if applicable supportive co-parents, and realize a transition in type of relationship doesn’t necessarily mean losing the entire connection.
These sessions are only appropriate for clients who are both on the same page about transitioning out of the partnership and is particularly helpful for clients who have ongoing custody and co-parenting considerations before them or who share a business with their current partner and need to maintain a healthy and functional relationship with one another.

Consults will be conducted with both individuals to determine if this work is an appropriate fit.

Keiki/Children Therapy

Keiki/children therapy at Integrative Awakening is for children beginning at age 4. During session children engage in play therapy as well as projective techniques that help Caroline better understand your child such as drawing pictures or arranging statutes and telling stories about they they drew or designed.

Children play therapy games and are engaged and supported in expressing their feelings, understanding their feelings and organizing their thoughts and feelings so that they feel like they have more agency over their lives.

Caroline fosters an environment where children can express themselves authentically. This unique therapeutic journey empowers children to understand and articulate their feelings, enhancing emotional intelligence and self-confidence.

Caroline works directly with parents and guardians so that at least once a month there is a session just with the parents/guardians or with the whole family. Your children will

Transform right before your eyes and you’ll feel like you have amazing support in the often times very challenging parenting process!

Psychotherapy

Caroline is a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade in private practice. She currently has a private practice in Waimea, Hawaii, treating children, adolescents and adults. She is seasonally in Pennsylvania as well at her retreat center in Berks County and works with her long standing clients when in town. She also works virtually year round with clients throughout the globe.

While trained in psychoanalysis and somatic trauma informed therapeutic approaches, Caroline is not formulaic in practice. Clients are met where they are at and together explore how to create the results desired.

Caroline has specialized in trauma for many years, particularly working with women who experience symptoms related to complex post-traumatic stress and developmental trauma. She’s a deep space holder and hard to throw off center so over the years Caroline has developed a reputation for working with issues that not all therapists tend to want to touch or understand like cult abuse, psychological underpinnings of possession and spirit attachment, incest, sex trafficking rehabilitation, and the somatic and medical issues related to childhood trauma.

Over the last three years, however, her practice and training have evolved to encompass working with children and teens as they negotiate the difficulties and triumphs of growing up within their homes and families and do their best to deal with the demands of often overstimulating and unnerving on and off screen social dynamics of modern day youth.

Typically, Caroline works with clients in a more long term approach with a minimum of a year commitment to the process.

Even if there is a wait list, Caroline is available for a free 20 min consultation to help you determine the best approach to getting the help and support you need and if not working with her directly, will happily connect you to appropriate resources and clinicians that might be a good fit.
